MESPA Day at the Capitol 2022

Who should attend?
All MESPA members are invited to attend this event. School leaders from underrepresented groups, including people of color, the LGBTQ+ community, and women, are especially encouraged to attend.

Tentative Schedule
A detailed schedule will be shared as we finalize details. The tentative schedule is as follows:

• 8:45am - Convene at the Capitol for an overview of the day's events.
• 9-9:45am - Meet with various state and local representatives and get the inside scoop on the legislative process!
• 9:45am - Sit in on a Committee Meeting
• 11am - Continue to meet with various state and local representatives. Lunch is provided.
• 12pm - After lunch, get a personal tour of the Capitol building from Roger Aronson himself!
• 3pm - Wrap up and head home!

Getting to the Capitol
Please meet us at the Capitol building in Conference room 316. To see a map of all parking options at the State Capitol, click here. We encourage coordinating carpools!
